TRAINING

M.E.E.T on Common Ground
WINNER OF THE 2004 TELLY AWARD
FOR DIVERSITY TRAINING

1. M.E.E.T. on Common Ground.

Red Hawk introduces a motivational approach to content information on Cultural Diversity. This is a nationally recognized award winning training program (classroom setting workshop). See Diversity Training Tab for more information.

In this “TELLY” Award winning training program, M.E.ET. on Common Ground, Red Hawk will show managers, supervisors and employees to recognize and respond to inappropriate or illegal situations professionally and with respect. This straightforward video provides practical skills that all of your employees can use to create a respectful and inclusive workplace. Unlike many programs that focus on high-level "strategic" theories concerning diversity and inclusion management, M.E.E.T. on Common Ground is a "ground-zero" tactical approach. By focusing on understanding and communication, this program will show your employees how to recognize and respond to any situation professionally and with respect. It is perfect for training in diversity awareness, communication, harassment, conflict resolution and a variety of other topics.

Red Hawk introduces an easy-to-grasp four-step process that is demonstrated in six timely realistic vignettes. Ultimately, your employees will learn how to "M.E.E.T" on common ground: Make time to discuss, Explore differences, Encourage respect, and Take responsibility.

“The mistake of most trainers is that they teach the concept that diversity is about our
differences. Diversity is not just about our Differences. It's about our Similarities as well. You cannot teach diversity without teaching the concept of how we are different and similar at the same time.”

                                                                                                                                                         Red Hawk

2. Cultural Competency.

“Cultural Competency is Diversity Awareness at its highest level.”

                                                                                                           Debra Alexander of A.C.T., Inc.

The Concept of Competency:

“Cultural competency emphasizes the idea of effectively operating in different cultural contexts.  Culture, Cultural Awareness, Sensitivity, and Diversity do not include this concept."

Being COMPETENT in the ability to effectively make decisions and respond to Culture, Awareness, Sensitivity and Diversity within the populations served is the key to understanding what Cultural Competency is all about.”                                                                                                            Red Hawk “A Course in Diversity."

3. DOD Keynotes/Training including EO Advisors.

EO ADVISORS, LEADERSHIP AND DIVERSITY:

The DoD Diversity Awareness Training prescribed by DoD Directive 1350.2 is a collaboration between senior leaders and DEOMI to enhance the capability of senior leaders to successfully use EO/EEO programs to lead a diverse force capable of maintaining national security. Participants will develop an understanding of the strategic impact of EO/EEO. They will explore leadership strategies and tools that will allow them to seize and hold the initiative in EO/EEO matters. Participants will develop a list of EO/EEO issues that impact Service readiness. Service demographics and population trends, as well as current and potential developments will be considered. Action: participants will prepare an EO/EEO action plan to guide their leadership actions. This plan will be developed through small group activity and will be briefed to a Senior Service Representative.

ONLEADERSHIP:

I’m an Essential Piece Communicate to people their worth and potential so clearly that they come to see it in themselves; that they are an Essential Piece of your organization. Red Hawk asks, what is the cost of an unwillingness or inability to communicate differences? It’s the differences between great an poor leaders. Each member of an organization wants to feel as if they are an Essential Piece of your organizations success

OPSEC TRAINING:

In 2006 Red Hawk received a “Certificate of Training” in Operations Security and Awareness by the Interagency OPSEC Support Staff.

Each day in organizations around the world non-secure information falls into the hands of competitors. To most companies OPSEC measures can makes the difference between success and failure.  To our military organizations, it’s a matter of life and death.  So ask yourself a question.  How secure is the information in your organization?

“I don’t care how many security measures you have in place or how much training you do, security starts with people first and understanding the diverse nature of people is the key to Operations Security and Awareness Training.”  Red Hawk
